Alsace and the Lorrain form for many an inseparable unit, although the two areas are separated by the beautiful massif of the Vosges mountains.
Water is omnipresent: splashing in rivers and sources, in the Lakes of Lorraine and bustling around the orchards in the Vosges mountains. In spas as Plombieres-les-Bains the water shows itself from its beneficial side. In the east the wine route winds its way over the slopes and along the medieval towns of Alsace.
Monumental cities as Nancy and Colmar have made history. The ancient town of Remiremont is located in between and is the gateway to the Vosges and Alsace.
